Jenny and I did an early morning run to the tidal basin to check out the cherry blossoms.
Jefferson Memorial
See that question in there? The answer is an emphatic "no!" Our liberties will definitely NOT be secure if we try to remove God from our society. There are nine references to God at the Jefferson Memorial, and that's only one historic site in this area. Our nation's capital is full of references to God.
The cherry blossoms are a very popular attraction. I took this photo around 6:00AM. The whole tidal basin was lined with photographers and their fancy equipment. I felt somewhat lacking with my little point-and-shoot camera.
How about a full breakfast surrounded by beautiful cherry blossoms? These nice people offered us some of their sausage biscuit thingies and boy were they good.
With my running partner (and the sausage biscuit in my hand). Another runner came by and commented on my shoe laces. Who needs reflective equipment for running in the dark when you've got my skin and those shoes?
One more example of God's beautiful creations.

You always do really well with your little point-and-shoot. These pictures are gorgeous!! Wish I could come and take some of my own and experience the flavor of a DC springtime. :) Do cherry blossoms smell? Good?
I second Elizabeth's comment. Yummy....the cherry blossoms AND the sausage biscuit! Thanks for taking these for me! :)
